Mary Blair wrote that her college years were “dominated by the desire to draw and paint and the lack of means to follow through. However, with encouraging parents, and a few scholarships, and subsequently an understanding artist-husband, I was able to complete an art education. (…) More real background training came with my association with the animated cartoon industry.”
