Working first as a graphic designer, Fredun Shapur was soon interested in building stuff out of wood — for his own kids of course.
His talent in toy design quickly led him to be part of the golden years of the NYC-based Creative Playthings toy brand.
Piqpoq editor Carole Daprey held the Fredun Shapur : Playing with Design exhibition at the Cube Rouge galerie on the occasion of the issue of the monograph of the same name she dedicated to his work.
Please enjoy toys and prints he created for Creative Playthings (of course), Galt Toys, Trendon, Naef or Fischerform.
